I can't figure out where JAWStats gets these names from.
I have gone through operating_systems.pm, but AWStats correctly reports Vista and 3.xx, so there must be some parsing needed.

If you're referring to demo.jawstats.com, I assumed this was because I haven't updated my copy of AWStats in *ages*. I'll update that tomorrow and see if it changes anything, I suspect it will.

No, it happens as well with the newest release of AWStats and JAWStats.

If its happening in AWStats then there is not much JAWStats can do about it. JAWStats only reads the parsed data from AWStats, it doesn't do any modifications to the actual data itself (like deciding what version of windows was being used).

So this might be a question to ask the people over at AWStats...

I did some reading of the actual files myself, and it seems that JAWStats uses the value from OSHashID for displaying the actual names instead of OSHashLib which AWStats uses.
A temporary solution which I have found is to add some strings to jawstats.js, but this is more of a workaround.

Thanks for the info here, Metamorph, perhaps I've made a mistake here - I'll look into this today.

Any news regarding this?

I've been writing new documentation for this site so haven't had chance to play with this yet but I promise the browser name thing will be fixed in the next version.
